The Islands of New Zealand, set in the vast South Pacific Ocean, are among the most beautiful and diverse in the world. The country is the world in miniature, a land of startling contrasts with an ever-changing landscape. A short journey across the country reveals broad fertile meadows, towering alpine mountain ranges, and fast flowing rivers, fjords and sweeping uninhabited beaches.
New Zealand is comparable in size to Great Britain and Japan but it is one of the least crowded countries on Earth with a total population smaller than many cities. A third of New Zealand is designated as World Heritage and National Park. Everywhere the country exudes freshness and freedom of space, qualities that have fashioned the character of its multicultural society.
New Zealand is an English speaking modern western style country with a well developed infrastructure. It is politically stable with a Westminster style parliamentary democracy. A very safe country to live and invest in; it has no snakes or dangerous wild animals, a low crime rate and is isolated from the worlds trouble spots. New Zealand however is easy to reach by direct overnight flights from around the Pacific Rim. A flight that is a world away from the everyday.
