Course Tour
Kinloch is the latest of Nicklaus' exclusive signature clubs to be completed and the only one in Australasia. Word of its greatness has already reached offshore as it was named among the top 10 new courses in the world by United States-based Travel and leisure golf magazine for 2007. It was the only course outside of North America to be included.
It would be easy to become preoccupied with the views and clean green setting, but the golf course alone is why so many are making the trip to just north of Taupo.
Nicklaus proudly states that there is no one signature hole on his courses. He prefers to have 18 holes of outstanding quality, and that is something he has managed here.
If ever there was a serious candidate in the central north Island to host a New Zealand open or similar professional event, Kinloch is it.
